This is a White cake with a vanilla pudding filling. I decorated it with buttercream icing and roses, daffodiles and a lily made out of royal icing. This cake was my first attempt at the basket weave siding and I was so happy with the way it turned out. I have been in love with basket weave since!
Flowers & Basket Weave

Cadence's Sesame Street Cake
This cake was made for a 2 year olds birthday party. It is a white cake with a vanilla custard filling, flat iced with a buttercream frosting. To make the sesame street characters and sign I made a frozen buttercream transfer. To do this you invert the image you want on your cake and hand pipe out your design. You then freeze it and invert it onto your cake to get a perfect buttercream image! The kids loved this cake!
Barbie Cake
This cake was made for a 3 year olds Birthday party. It was a white cake with a vanilla custard filling. It was flat iced with buttercream and the top tier was given the basket weave finish. I topped it off with gumpaste daisies and of course, Barbie!

Hello Kitty
I made this cake for my friend Tiff's daughter. This Hello Kitty cake was a vanilla cake with a strawberry cream filling. The cake was flat iced with a vanilla buttercream and the Hello Kitty was hand piped using a star piping tip to give the appearance of fur.
Valentines
Now this cake was all about the taste. It is a 3 layered chocolate cake filled with 2 layers of chocolate ganache and 1 layer of peanut butter cream cheese filling. On top of the cake is chocolate buttercream with lots of mini reese's peanut butter cups and it wouldn't be finished without the caramel drizzle. Yummy!
Winnie the Pooh
This vanilla cake with a custard filling was for Karter's first Birthday party. The Winnie the Pooh on the cake was done using a hand piped frozen buttercream transfer.
Kathy's 60th Cake
This yellow cake with a strawberry jam filling was made for the celebration of Kathy's 60th Birthday. It is flat iced with buttercream and has a basketweave side with a shell border along the bottom, and a rope border along the top. It was finished off with royal icing lilies, roses, daffodiles and apple blossoms.

This is another basket weave cake with royal icing flowers. The cake is a lemon cake with a raspberry cream filling.
Nathan's Toy Story Cake
This buttercream sheet cake was made of devils chocolate cake with a cookies and cream filling. Using the technique of making a frozen buttercream transfer I was able to make Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Lotso the bear. The kids at this 5 year olds birthday party loved it.
Jessie and Bullseye
This cake with Jessie and Bullseye from Toy Story was for Calli's Birthday. It was a white cake with a vanilla custard filling.
Jake and the Neverland Pirates
This was a white cake with a chocolate ganache filling for Mattia's Birthday party. I made the characters using a frozen buttercream transfer. The sand is made from graham cracker crumbs and the look of water was achieved by swirling blue and white buttercream around with the back of a spoon.
ATV Cake
This cake was made for a friends dad to celebrate his 60th Birthday. He loves ATV's so I made him this chocolate cake covered with chocolate icing. I used a piping tip to achieve the grass look and the dirt is oreo cookie crumbs.
Bulldog Cake
This cake is made of red velvet with a cream cheese filling. It was made for a friend who has always wanted a bulldog but according to his wife that isn't going to happen :)
Nintendo DS
This Nintendo DS cake was for a co-workers son who loves Mario Brothers games. Underneith the buttercream frosting is a chocolate cake with a cookies and cream filling. Both of the DS screens on this cake were made using fondant for a more detailed look.
Monster High
This buttercream cake was for Maya's 7th Birthday party. Maya is a big fan of the show Monster High so I used the skull logo and the school's Argyle print to finish off the cake. This was a chocolate cake with a strawberry filling.

I made this Minnie Mouse cake for Brianna's Birthday party. It was a vanilla cake with a cookies and cream filling. I hand piped Minnie Mouse using buttercream icing.

I made this cake for a Pricipal's retirement party. This chocolate cake with a ganache filling is covered in a vanilla buttercream. I used a fondant pearl border and fondant lettering for a more textured design. The picture is printed onto rice paper so it is edible too!
Scrabble
This scrabble cake was for a party celebrating 3 Birthdays- Grandma, Kris and Don's. This white cake with a vanilla custard filling is covered in buttercream icing and airbrushed to look like wood. The letter tiles are made of fondant but everything else you see is buttercream. I did a very similar cake like this completely in fondant (which you can find under the fondant cake section on my website.)
Wonder Women
This Wonder Women cake is a red velvet cake with a chocolate mousse filling. I hand piped the wonder women logo and finished the sides of the cake off with some fondant stars.

This Strider Bike cake was for Yusef's 2nd Birthday. He got a yellow and black strider bike for his birthday so his mom thought a replica cake would be perfect. This was a marble cake with a chocolate mousse filling and hazelnut buttercream. Everything you see is cake and was hand carved to make the shape.
Sector 2814
I made these two sheet cakes for the grand re-opening of the Sector 2814 comic book store in Maple ridge. One cake is vanilla with a raspberry cream filling and the other cake is a chocolate cake with a strawberry cream filling. Both are topped with buttercream images from the DC and Marvel comic book series, as well as some Mana magic and Starwars logos. In the centre is the companies logo printed on rice paper.
Mexican Fiesta
This delicious raspberry cake with a lemon cream cheese filling was for Michelles 30th Mexican Fiesta. The cake is frosted with a lemon buttercream and I airbrushed the top and sides. I then finished the cake off with fondant lettering and cacti.

I made this cake for my friend Julie's 30th Birthday. She loves Frankenweenie! This chocolate cake had a chocolate ganache filling and was iced in vanilla buttercream. Frankenweenie and the tomb stones were made of fondant.
Snowboarding
This cake was for Mike's Birthday! Mike and his girlfriend Julie are big snowboarders so Mike wanted a cake to show that. This lemon cake had fresh strawberries and whipped cream for the filling and was iced in a cream cheese frosting. The snowboarders and their dogs were sculpted out of fondant.

This chocolate cake was fillled with fresh whip cream and strawberries and iced in a vanilla buttercream. I made the Hello Kitty and lettering out of fondant.

The Kitkat cake I did last week was so popular that I got another request a few days later. This time they wanted Reese's Peanut Butter Cups on top. This chocolate cake has a peanut butter cream cheese filling and is topped with a whole lot of chocolate.

This chai cake with a honey ginger cream cheese frosting is all hand pipped with buttercream to give it a ruffled appearance. The bride and groom pigs on top of the cake were hand sculpted using fondant.

This chocolate cake was for Emma's 12th Birthday. This cake was filled with chocolate ganache and iced with a vanilla buttercream frosting. The writing and beading detail was done using fondant.

This cake was for an ugly sweater christmas party we went to. This vanilla cake with a cookies and cream filling is covered completely in star piping. I then made all the added decorations out of fondant.
